I dont like a lot of it because... well its not really
played live for you most of the time. You dont get the same
energy as some rock band or something jumping around the
stage slamming out songs on the guitars and drums.

depends on who's doing it and how... most laptoppers can be
a little boring if yer not really into the music... ( i am
a laptopper myself... so I'm not slammin 'em ) -- I also
think if you got some other stuff going on up there... like
lights, video, or dancing bears, whatever.. it can be more
exciting... with all that info aside... I still don't
mind a few people getting on stage and sitting behind their
machines...

yeah there are some damn good electronic shows.. if you like
the music why not support the acts. it's a good time
anyhow.

plaid and mira calix was amazing live. plaid had all the
visuals complementing the tunes and wow. also saw slicker
from heftyrecords that day too, great stuff.

I saw Plaid and mira calix live too and I wasnt too
impressed with Plaid but Mira Calix was an awesome DJ. I saw
mouse on mars live, but they had a live drummer so I guess
its not really lap top but it was great anyway. I think it
just depends how into the group you are.

The first show I've seen live was by Lowfish, Solvent, and
Skanfrom live in Toronto back in september. No laptops to be
seen. SOlvent played a selection of discs while Lowfish, and
Skanfrom pieced together some of their songs. Good stuff.

i think they need more live p.a's at parties. i love them,
no matter who it is. just as long as its not crystal method,
fatboy slim or those lame as prodigy kids.

i saw squarepusher mid last year. dont know what the fuck he
was doing, but it sounded awesome. the biggest fatest bass
sounds ever...brilliant.

he definately had hardware goin, but it was all under a
table covered with a blanket with a laptop sitting on top.

any ideas what he was doin under the table?

don't know autechre did the same thing. during the concert
sean booth was hidden behind the table. at first i thought
he's gone but after 5 or 10 minutes he came up for a short
time. i would really like to know what these guys are doing
under the computers.
