i don't know..probably not because his music doesn't sound that unique. that is the thing that bothers me about that ae thing - i was discussing autechre music with some hardcore autechre fans and they were all saying how unique their music was and noone else can make stuff like that..but then the leak comes out and they can't decide whether it's a fake or genuine..i don't mind autechre's music one bit, i even enjoy quite a bit of it, but i hate the hype about them and the fact that noone can explain what's so great about them..and i would really love to find that out :) |

I'm 100% with you, the hype/non hype is the same though. I found your approach to this autechre release fun at first but you seemed to carry it a bit too far. You must admit you are making fun of people being excited about their next record. CX is a complete twit but you don't need to reflect the shit you got from getting analord. It's just a few silly sounds, nothing to get personal about. |

funny you should say that, because it's the same kind of hype that surrounded the analord-series earlier this year. and I hate both of these hypes, not because it's autechre or aphex twin, but because it's hype. noone can explain to you what is nice about any music - you either like it or you don't. that's it. you don't have to like everything. |

yes i agree i got carried away, but it wasn't my plan to sound mean..i was merely teasing people, same people that were busting my balls just before the untilted leaked..i'll try to control myself in the future :) qrter, i agree, analord was hyped but there was no doubt whether it was aphex or not..it's silly, but when you listen to how original and unique autechre are and then can't tell a difference is a bit silly..i know i shouldn't get into that debates at all (because it's stupid), but i had nothing better to do at that time :) |

haha, i don't regret getting that binder one bit..analord 10 is my fav in the series, with xmd5a being my favourite afx. 1,2,3 and four are quite disappointing though, i love like 4 or 5 songs but the rest are just average, some even a bit boring.. |

yes, i was over hyping analord, and i shouldn't diss untilted that much..but then again it's only my personal opinion :) and to be honest most people thought it wasn't good when they gave it a first listen..i've gave it a few more listens, and it sounds quite good on the headphones actually, i just wish the drums would be a bit lighter on the final version..as for lots of other music happening - i haven't listened to analord 10 from about a week after it was release untill today, and i only listened to 1,2,3 and 4 a few times..i prefer quite a bit of other music atm.. |
