Fruity Loops conundrum...

Goddammit, I've forgotten how to use the fucking thing,
even though I've only been away from it for 2 or 3 days.

OK... I want to rip some artists off, since I have writer's
block. :-) How can I make those nice, warm, IZ-US and
Alberto Balsalm synth sounds? Does anybody know how?

Also, the keyboards on Flim... drool! The high, dreamy ones,
and the fat, thick ones that close out the track. Also
Flim's percussion... I haven't figured this program out
enough to imitate those drums!

just fool around with the different effects... I've been
able to come up with some freaky sounds by doing that...
it's cool, cause the end result sounds nothing, absolutely
nothing like the original... Like for instance, take one of
the stab things there, stretch it out, reverse it, play
around with the reverb and echoe, and all that, and you got
a freaky sound... that's half the fun I find... :)

You need VST synths, to get these kind of sounds ! PPG WAVE
2, FM7, Jungalist are all great !

AND you need PLUGINS.....

You know what, the only thing I've ever used on this is the
Sampler... and I've never even TOUCHED the reverb or
echoe... and I know fucking around with the sounds is fun...
but I'm too god damned lazy right now! I want the cool,
pretty sounds to just jump up and say ''here we are!!! Play
with us!''... or something...

Monoid, how do I get those synths... Soulseek?

Use WinMX and search for "VST", first specify that you're
looking for programs. Also lots of cool stuff gets posted on
alt.binaries.sounds.utilities use the combine and decode
feature to get the files.

Alright, thanks... I'll do that. I can never seem to find
the tones I want, and I don't have the patience to fiddle
around till I do!

Sorry to stray from the point a little, but maybe one of you
can help. I downloaded Fruityloops from soulseek, and a
registration file thing, but i just could'nt get it to work.
It was the proper full version, not the demo or anything.
I'm very sad that i'm missing out on the fruityloops
experience!...

Yeah, I had that problem with the registration... I had to
get it THREE TIMES over the course of two months before I
found one that worked.

I guess the only advice I have is look for the version that
is about 17MB, on Soulseek. That's the one that worked for
me. There's other files that are smaller, but the 17MB file
is the one that did it for me.
