well. pan sonic was great! the beginning was really intense,
damn. i have to admit my body was full of drugs & alcohol,
but nevermind that. towards it was a bit weaker though,
using the same structures-first beat then just some noises
layered over it.
the support Discodesafinados were good too. belgians worth
checking out.

i saw ryoji ikeda's C4I video/audio performance the day
after that. excellent as well, although at times a bit ott
with the quotes and political statements. don't get me
wrong, i love political aware people, but it shouldn't get
boring if you only have 45 min worth of video

yup

I can imagine Pan Sonic being a really intense live
experience with all those loud distorted sweaping noises
from Kesto.
Kesto is a bit black metal'ish or EBM ish in some ways. Same
vibes . lol they should wear korpse paint !

hehe, yeah, the noise was loud and fucking throbbing. so
good. but they did overuse the sweeping sounds a bit.

still very good.

i was there too, it was a really great show. my mate who
doesnt listen to electronic music liked it too. i loved the
way how they start with an awesome beat and transform it in
a pile of noise, great noise that is and good to experience
on a good sound system.

i thought discodesafinados where good in the beginning, but
it got boring later.

have you seen jamie lidell in the beginning of the week?
he was great, a real entertainer and a good singer. he loops
his voice into beats sings over it, very different from the
album he released on warp.

royji ikeda's film was also very good, nice images and a
good soundtrack of glitch, drone and noise.

tonight fennesz will play with 3 other musicians, and
visuals by jon wozencroft.

it has been a great week in leuven.
