this is my first new track since 2003. lots of things have
happened since i last posted a new track. i've moved out,
got a job, and generally have become a much more independent
person. i've worked on many tracks since then, but i've
never really been able to finish one to the point where i
thought it was worth sharing with anyone. until now.

the new track is called "finding courage in a sunset". this
track is many weeks in the making, with over 550 different
versions sitting on my hard drive.. i hope you like it.

RULE NO. 1: IT IS NOT A MELODY IF IT DOES NOT HAVE SOME FORM
OF REPEATION [SIC]

These are the cool things you learn in the aphextwin.nu chat
room on soulseek. The wise teacher master of all that is
musical is rhubarb.

I can say, sir, your track is very melodic.

you misquoted me. you forgot the word "strong" inbetween the
words "A" and "Melody" :)

lil' too buzzy

i listened to this...i like it a lot - very mushy and simple
- reminds me of the end credits of a late 70 early 80's
movie. its a very uplifting track - kind of sounds like some
kind of new lesson on life is learned. kind of like "i now
know the knowledge that i didnt know yesterday, i can now
face tomorrow with courage

im not a big boc fan - some of there stuff sounds too milky?
this track has those same milk tones but it stears clear of
any hip hop or idm traps, and borders on movie soundtrack or
even classical music,

good show.

thanks for listening. i don't think i've ever made a track
where someone didn't compare it to boc. it's funny, cause if
i released some of my material from like 1996, i'd probably
still get the same response.. even through i didn't hear boc
till 98.

this is my first track mastered on my new monitors.. still
learning how to best use them. sounds perfect at home, but
on my headphones there's one synth that was a little
louder/sharper than i wanted.

any way, shape, or form.

The melody is absolutely brilliant. You are phat with a PH.
The drums don't damage the track in any way but they don't
add much either, I would suggest either taking the drums in
a more 4 to the floor direction, or doing something
crunchier and samplier. Very good track. Save link to disk.

Nice, decent track you got there man.

It does have some boc-ish sounds in it; which I don't mind
at all. It's not a clone but it sure is influenced by BoC;
can't deny that :-)

But as I like BoC a lot..... I dig your track :-)
