No. Tell your friend to listen closely. If Fruity Loops can
make those beats everyone should stop making music right
now, cause 6ie.cr is one of the strictest track you'll find
on Draft.

making a good one is hard; there are MIT graduate courses on
that topic alone. Here's one with a great name.

Word to them for bitching about the colloquial usage of
'random'.

to 'generate' random numbers, isn't that an oxymoron
anyways. how could you generate something random?

hahaha yeah.

Interestingly, a lot of the really hard core random number
systems use an 'entropy pool'; they seed random numbers
(that's just _seeding_; the algorithm is whole 'nother ball
game) with things like events their computers observe, or
radioactive decay (!!!), etc.

most people say PRNG, pseudorandom number generator.

the MIT course is pseudorandom number generation, not random
numbers.

but the outcomes borrring anyway. complex music isnt
intresting, its just for internet geeks who talk about it on
forums. like dream theater and metal.

Something that is complex and well crafted is great for
someone who gets bored easily. For instance I get much more
replay value from xmd5a than, say, sawI tracks.

Why would they use FLP when they have Kyma?

That is what they use for most of their music...

It can be done in FLP... but they are using generative
software.
