i use fruityloops and cool edit to make drill type stuff.
a few ideas ive come accross, here and elsewhere.

1)turn the tempo on fruityloops up almost rediculously fast
and then drop tons of drum samples in song pattern mode.
then render it to file and chop the entire thing up in cool
edit adding fx and such.

2) get a good pattern going and overload your cpu by opening
windows you dont need. the beat gets speratic.

3) get a good pattern going and then grab that slider bar
thingy on the top of fruityloops that shows the possition of
a song or pattern. slide that thing around randomly once in
a while and it instantly repositions you in the pattern.

4) use the fruity slicer and keep telling the drum pattern
to arrange in random order over and over and over.

whatever you do its always best to record everything you do.
run the output of your computer right back into the
computer and record it into cool edit. then chop it up.

although this is all pointless if you dont use those
programs... HA

My fauvorite program is Orion Pro (Synapse Audio). It is
cooler then Fruity Loops and Reason. It has both Vista and
Old looks, really nice handy interface.

the program is exactly the same as fruity loops, the
interface is resembling fruity, though is it really
important what program one's using? One can use Orion Pro
Platinum Gold Special Producer Afx Refill Edition and simply
suck balls cause the dude can't make music for shit. While
someone else get's signed to Rephlex records with tracks he
made in Impulse Tracker.

It's all about your own technique.

Hell i can make drills in notepad if i really want to
