bio
i grabbed some sort of compilation of his stuff from the library the other day, and it sounds quite awesome... he's got a really airy-yet-somehow-earthy voice, and his lyrical flow is more inventive than that of most rappers... and the band sounds pretty nice too... interesting minimal arrangements that at times remind me of what i like about 2-step D'n'B... as odd as that might sound...
anyhow, i was just wondering if anyone here can recommend me a proper album of his, as opposed to a hits compilation...
what do you think of this guy?

I'll sure as hell check this guy out.
It's too bad not as many people are interested.

Well there's this Getz/Gilberto album, it's supposed to be some kind of classic. It's pretty good I guess.

"The Legendary Joao Gilberto" is probably the most amazing album ever made. Its like his first 3 albums put together but its really really hard to find. ive seen a few people selling the original vinyl on ebay but the bidding usually ends at around $150 or so.
This guy inspired me to go buy a nylon string guitar and learn the bossa nova methods he plays. I have this album on soulseek if you want it. my name there is "the wok"
