all the people..
AHAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAQWREYT)(¤#GYIUREHGIGY!

or...

Imagine a society/culture where the language was strict and
logical... a society where the inhabitants spoke in C or
Basic... As we do, they would think in the language they
speak, and thus I wonder: would they have an imagination and
feelings, or would they just.. not be able to imagine
(synthesise images of) things and feel ( if($me == $IN_LOVE
&& $you == $IN_LOVE) { sex; } )...

Maybe there are upsides.. "global variables" would certainly
help with communication worldwide, and would definately put
a new meaning to the word...

anyway.. which would you prefer?

I'm trying to understand our world! I don't deal with petty
materialists like you!

I attempted a monoid-thread, but I now realise that I
should've stated my questions as uncontestable facts and
then gone on to say something like:

"you all hate me, and I have no friends. I will kill myself
by ejaculating!"

..but I fucked up. I hope you can all forgive me.

good question.
would complicated enough robots have a soul?

why not, after all...

until you can define 'soul' in scientific terms that is a
non-question...

defining a soul in scientific terms isn't as much of a
problem as agreeing on what it is...

...defining soul is more of a non-question to me!

you have a soul.
you can't be absolutely sure that anyone/anything else has
one... or not.

but what do you mean by soul

it seems so obvious to me, but it's hard to define... what
makes you feel things?

it would be relevant to bring in the discussion the pope
(Urbano VIII), kardinal Agostino Vegio, and Mancini had
about a two-headed calf that was born in April 1625. They
wanted to know whether or not to classify the calf as one or
two animals... Mancini (a doctor) said that the brain was
the sign of the individual, while (this is a bit unclear, as
it doesn't express the popes opinion, and I doubt any pope
in 1625 would've been an Aristotelean) the Aristoteleans
would've claimed the heart to be the centre.
