when you get old

any plans yet?

there's one guy i like quite a bit - he used to do
radioshows and now he's got his own tv show - extremly smart
and quite humorous guy..he's one of those people i'd bi kind
of scared to talk to in a way especially infront ot the
camera because he can crush everyone, quite amazing how his
brain works..anyway, i read an interview with him a few days
ago and when they asked him for his future plands he said
he's living very modestly and saving money for when he gets
retired because he got this idea that he will try and see
all the animals that are in his album (it's one of those
albums where you attach pictures of animals you find in
chocolates, and apperantly he completed the whole thing - it
tok him many years and money for this) in their natural
environment. he said that is impossible for some of those as
they're extinct already (this gives you a lot to think
about), but he still hopes to travel around the world and
try and take pics of all these animals.
i thought it was an wonderful idea/story and im wondering if
some of you have already thought about something of this
kind that you would like to do in the future?

i know i want to travel, but i have no specific plans..

I think that is a pretty cool plan. I have none myself. I am
kind of lost right now

americans don't need to worry about the future because we
are guaranteed life on easy street thanks to social
security, the most well-thought-out and un-corruptable plan
ever devised, which our visionary president is now trying to
make even better.

so to answer your question, i plan on working until die.

not a plan, just destiny(?):
drink more, smoke more...exponentially, seriously
and plans:
bring up kids with better ideas

when are you moving to europe then? :)

our security system is shit as well btw, that is why this
guy (and everyone reasonable-everyone who can afford it) is
putting some money aside for the old days. as i hear so
often there's very litle chance any of us (people under 30)
will get their pensions, so unless we ivest some money for
when we get old, we will have to work until we die as
well..and that sucks.

that sounds very smart to me...

i would like to live in different places at least for a
little while. that's something i'd certainly like to do. i
think i would probably enjoy living in some european
countries... it's not out of the question. i definitely
plan on visiting europe again. i'm sure i will at some
point.

nah i want to be driving the whole time. besides, they nevr
really felt like states to me, more like parts of the world
the usa had conquered.

hey that reminds me, i need to buy a car too!

yeah, that sounds like a good plan to me as well...i would
certanly like to visit as many states as possible -
especially the southern ones.

r40f, i'd personally prefer to live i a big city like new
york atm, but that would also mean i surely wouldn't have
anything to put aside. but still, i feel im missing out a
lot living in a small city..but then again, there are only a
few cities in europe that are big and interesting (paris,
london, barcelona and berlin).

well, no one seems to mind immigrants coming here as long as
they aren't hispanic, so you should be ok.

i don't think you're missing out on all that much... but
it's certainly fun to visit those places - i hope you can
soon.

forget london. london stinks.

in london you will be surrounded by huge guys with their
sleeves rolled up exposing hairy tattoos, who will go up to
you and say 'alright, mate? give us a smile.' and if you do
smile he will call his mates over and ask you to smile again
for them, or they will beat the crap out of you.

social security was never a great investment. Anything the
government touches turns into a 10 thousand dolllar toilet
seat. I'm up for anything.

and little old ladies will go up to you and say 'yourre a
nice strong lad arent you? 'ere doreen, look at this lad
'ere.' while they slide their wringly hands along your leg.
and if you push them away a bunch of teenagers will appear
out of nowhere and shout 'what are you doin to my granma?'
and throw bricks at you.

i think i'd be a bit scared of the enormous of nyc..i've
never visited a real big city (well, i've been to the most
biggest city in europe but compared to those enormous US,
Brazilian, japanese,..cities, these are all kinda tiny),
furthermore the people - you hardly get to see a black
person over here and even those are usually africans and
they're alright :) but those african-americans look way more
dangerous :D

i'll visit one day for sure tho!

i don't know about all that, i thought it was a pretty cool
place, but i only saw very small part of it. the only thing
that i would really want to live there for is to visit all
those excellent gigs that are constantly going on.

If I become an old man over the long and tedious sands of
time, I would prefer that my mind does not lose any
cohesiveness with reality. Alzheimer's disease is not
reoccuring in my family history, so the odds of me with the
disease when I am old is slim to none.

Reason I talk about mental illness, is because I plan on
creating the music I make and the paintings I paint and the
photographs I take photographs of... Don't you understand?

I dread those old folks in the "assisted living" death
beds... It makes me sad. Barely anyone from the outside
world who actually give a fuck about those old people
inside, visit them on a regular basis. The others just visit
them on stupid hallmark holidays. It really gets me
depressed to think that my life could turn out like that...
after all these years.

I plan on having a very in-depth website of mine own, when I
acquire the proper funding and actually have the time to
create a vast imprint on time... it will cover broad
subjects like... my collection of Victrola Grammaphone vinyl
past down from one generation of my family eventually to
me...

Also, it would include an outlined, if not day by day update
of writings I do... not like any of these modern "blogs" but
a diary of some sort,

and of course a professional level site to host all of my
music, artwork, and photography

When i get old i will have time to be a really nice person.

I will do charity stuff like taking care of troubled
teenagers or something . I will be the nice old fella that
they can come home to and get some pancakes and a glass of
milk in the middle of the night when they don't have
anywhere else to go.

Also i will do alot of painting.

I will try and not become a grumpy old man that complains
about everything (like old people do) but really try to stay
in touch with the time i live in and accept that things
change for better or worse.
I will not have sex with people my age. Hopefully
prostitution has florished in sweden by the time haha! =)
