Well, what can I say? It was loud, brash and i danced my
rollocks off! "Aphex lookalike" Ed DMX took centre stage
complete in white boiler suit and a laptop full of hypnotic
"Kraftwerkesque" electro tunes.Then confusion! Either
Richard James has appeared stage left unannounced,or DMX has
a transportation device amongst his box of trix! It then
becomes clear it is Aphex himself, who then launches an
eclectic mix of relentless bangin'beats which mostly include
electro,d+b and dub(with a few of his own chucked in for
good measure,most notably,"Taking Control").Thrown in
also, are samples of the theme to "Blankety Blank"(!!!!)(A
sad uk gameshow from the 70's and 80's for those that don't
know),in f**ked up AFX style.Unexpected and
v.funny,indeed.Some came to watch this rare event, the rest
danced like demented chickens. This was followed by Russell
Haswell's set, which had elements of disco and acid beats in
the mix. Then the lights go up,and it's all over. Thanks for
a great evening Richard and krew.We want more.
Also,Jand, next time we will wear carnations! I hope someone
sneaked a recorder in.Anyone? Thanks. }:>

Doesn't seem to be anything on Soulseek yet...:(... hope
someone managed to get someting recorded, tho the Astoria
are pretty tough about "Recording Devices" aparently...Tho
it should have been easy to smuggle a Minidisc in ....i was
expecting gestapo searchs as per normal but just got waved
thru (handy as I had half of ICI's output hidden in me
pants..:)..)......
