Aphex and Snoop Dogg

I just noticed that the beat in Aphex's 'Ageispolis'
(selected ambient works 85-92) is the same to Snoop Dogg's
'Drop it like it's hot'

Good snoop be getting his inspiration from aphex?

p.s I don't like Snoop Dogg

i bet you could find other examples if you searched hard
enough, it's not the most out-there/original beat hArdPHEX
made.
:)

I know the neptunes are massive fans of squarepusher so i
expect they like rdj too.

i think it's a coincidence.
Or Aphex made himself a couple of easy bucks.
But i highly doubt it.

the drop it like it's hard drums are from another older
hip-hop track... I can't remember which one right now,
though.

Good snoop be getting his inspiration from aphex?

Er, it might be the other way around. Consider the
Windowlicker video.

the beat is definitely not lifted from Afx... i mean, first
of all... it's a very simple beat that i'm sure people have
used for centuries... but secondly, the neptunes beat is
much more well produced from a textural perspective... not
to knock ageisopolis because it is a great song, and it was
made over 10 years ago...
