Like Radiohead??

Allo. I've been listening to IDM and the like for about 5
years now, without much exposure to anything else. I'm an
old fan of Radiohead, but stopped listening at Kid A, and
haven't touched Radiohead for half a decade after my
collection was stolen from my apartment.

Now I just purchased the entire collection and I'm totally
digging it. Anyone else with me on this. Hail to the Thief
is pretty darn sweet.

OHH I JUST CAN"T HELP IT. Anyone who likes IDM and rock
should admit that Radiohead is to rock, as aphex twin is to
electoronica! These guys are the shizznit.

I think OK Computer has got to be my favourite also. I
haven't listened to it in years but it just represents such
a powerful vision of life and where we are heading. Its
really quite beautiful even if it isn't cool anymore.

with OK Computer in my opinion.

heard.

Currently listening to Worrywort.

"I've been listening to IDM and the like for about 5 years
now, without much exposure to anything else."

it seems like you're missing out on a lot of music.
i think you should investigate other stuff besides idm and
radiohead... there's so much more music to listen to - so
many possibilities... why restrict yourself like that?

I hate them.

A bunch of middle class wankers moaning about their easy,
pampered lives.

Can't stand them.

Sorry to be unexperimental, but people seem not so keen on
The Bends. It's still one of the best rock albums of the 90s
and probably a top 3 Radiohead album.

Holds hand up... I dig Radiohead, particularly, The Bends
through to Kid A and most of Amnesiac. The b-sides are
great, like Cuttooth, Fog. I think the Hail to the Thief
album is a bit rushed, but the songs are of the same
quality.

offline X-tomatic from ze war room on 2005-01-29 16:10 [#01481098]

On second thought, I'll have to tie Kid A and Amnesiac for
the nr. 2 spot.

ok computer, while musically the best album of all time,
pales in comparison to kid a to me. that album has the
deepest emotional connection to me.

and thoms voice got waaaaay too whiny on hail to the theif,
but its still pretty kickin.
