not even close in comparison)....thanks guys

yea i got it for $10 myself.. great movie, cool bonus
features too.

no, daren aronofsky (director & co-writer) didn't direct
american psycho. his other really notable film was requiem
for a dream.

Ahhhhh thats it........My bad....You have to forgive me, I
have been up all night working...

Thanks worth....BTW - Requiem is a dope movie too, I still
did not enjoy "American Psycho" it was even more boring than
the book.....

Anyways...yeah man for 10 bucks....its a steal.

word up.

yea requiem is one of my favorite films actually. another
great dvd.

i just finished american psycho, the book. (haven't seen the
movie yet, i was waiting till i finished the book.) i found
it boring for the first 50 pages, then i got into it. i
think it's worth reading. i hope to see the movie soon.

To mee the book was a little "too detailed"...I just did not
like the fact I was readin 3 pages about his hair care
products and skin cream.

Not the "worst" book ever written....The book is definately
better than the movie...
IMO....

Have you heard the "Requiem" soundtrack?.....

yea, the luxury descriptions were a dull read, but a lot of
the messages the author conveyed were done not through plot
but writing style - he really pounded in the materialism and
vanity of the character with the EXCESSIVE descriptions.

yes i've heard and love the requiem soundtrack. i wish there
was a bit more variety in the soundtrack, but that
definitely has to be the best theme song for a movie in
ages.

Agreed......

One question....
Was "requiem" a book made into a screenplay?

I own both Pi and Requiem on DVD. Yes, Requiem was
originally a novel written by Hubert Selby Jr, and Darren
Aronofsky co-wrote the screenplay with Selby. Both
excellent, excellent films. Clint Mansell does great work
on the scores for both.

Is the "Requiem" novel worth checking out?....

If the saying is treu - "the book is always better"...I
guess it must be a classic

Check out "Last Exit to Brooklyn" for the guys best known
book....you'll get a good idea of hi style from there...it's
pretty coll and gritty...

Recommended....

(They made a movie of it too, but the book is better)..

And yeah, PI + REQUIEM on DVD are must haves....also you can
get a screenplay with his filming diary etc. Thats a pretty
good read if you like the movie enough..)...

Don't watch Requiem on Drugs tho...

Psycho is a FAB book. The film is pants though, it doesn't
make any sense compared with the book. The film makes out
like he's just imagining the whole thing, but theres no
doubt in the book that it's his imagination.

Plus the book is much more graphic and sexy =o)

i disliked both the move american psycho and the book (i
never could finish it)

Tried to do the "pi" symbol, it doesnt show up :-)

That should be Love both pi and Requiem, and the Pi DVD is
the one missing a few extras.
