I feel like listening to some Final Fantasy music, I
remember the music was always outstanding when I used to
play them, mainly FF7 - 9. Ophecks should be able to help me
here, i'm looking for somewhere to download some of Nobuo
Uematsu's music, also any reccomendations for his best
tracks and which FF soundtracks are the best, I remember
FFVII being amazing.

Zophar.net is your one stop shop. It has all the
soundtracks from FF1 up to FF X-2.

It's not MP3s... it's midi ripped straight from the game. I
like this because instead of a 250MB 4-CD collection per
game, the files are tiny. It sounds perfect, it's the actual
music data from the discs. These particular games were all
composed with the SNES/PS onboard midi anyway.

Try torrentspy.com, oink.me.uk or torrentreactor if you need
MP3s. I personally love the soundfiles from zophar, you can
get many gigs worth of music onto like a hundred MB with no
loss of quality.

I also have a shitload of video game music on SLSK,
username- revolverjgw.

Nobuo is not doing FF12, that's kind of lame. FF games
without Nobuo do have a history of having awesome music,
though. FFX-2's soundtrack is superb, I don't care what the
homophobic haters say. And Final Fantasy Tactics has amazing
tunes. So it should be OK.

I think the best thing he ever did was FF8... so varied, so
much better quality than FF7. FF9 went back to basics, so
that leaves the eclectic FF8 as my favorite ever. ''Eyes on
Me'' is an amazing song.

Check here, I use the Highly Experimental plugin on
Winamp but you're on a Mac, so... I dunno.

Yes. ''Resting Comfortably'' + ''Pulsating Ambience''=
wicked music. And lots of those slick horror-hop tunes, too.

Ah, but I have a feeling FF12 music is going to be VERY good
even without Nobuo. If your familiar with FFX
soundtrack...you'd see that Nobuo's tracks on that game were
the weakest of the 3 composers.

I just think he needs a break...the guy is great and all,
but as evident from FFX....he seems to be losing his touch.

Also, the composers of FF12 is Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu
Iwata. They have collaborated on Final Fantasy Tactics as
well as all the Ogre Battle games. Sakimoto himself has
composed so many games it's not even funny. Like the music
to Gradius V or Radiant Silvergun?

Yeah FF12 should be fine, I know a lot of people that prefer
FF Tactics' soundtrack to anything by the Nob. Not me,
though.

Never played Gradius V but it's at Blockbuster for like 5
bucks, I'll grab it next time I'm down there. Which may be a
while since we just got a million feet of snow.
