what a gorgeous album. quite possibly contains a few of the most depressing songs i have ever heard - check 'into the piano'. kind of folk rock sound with hmm, nick cave-ish lyrics/vocals..well worth checking out.

I've only had it for a few weeks, and just look how much genuine reaction this post has gotten, hehe.
GOOSE EGG
Didn't seem to me like something a lot of people here would be into. I usually only start posts about electronic music here, gets more reaction. Not that people here wouldn't enjoy this. Anyone who likes Nick Cave or the Angels of Light et al would dig it.

:) well, i only gave it a proper listen today and already like it this much. + i only have his previous album and that's it :)
do you know beequeen? some reviews even sort of compare it to later beatles period although i can't really see any resemblence :)
and you should speak of non electronic more often, you know a LOT.

Oh I post about non-electronic music all the time. I just don't start many topics about it. Here's what happens when I post a topic about something like this. Kekeke.
I'm downloading Beequeen off of you right now.

Ahh what a great shameless cross-linking scheme. Tuxedomoon is one of my favorite artists ever, I was pretty disapointed when nobody cared. Grab Half Mute and Desire from me sometime. Very cool, visionary sounds for the early 80s.
I'm looking for the old band by the guy that is Woven Hand, Horsepower 16. If anybody here has it, I want it. I've had it queued for a week and SLSK's search is lame-o.

im getting cabin in a sky first, i'll see how i like it and that grab those other two from you, unless this last one wasn't that good?
i'll see if i can find 16 horsepower..i thought they were a pretty famous band, since woven hand is just singers side project..

Cabin the Sky is good, but it's over two decades removed from their best stuff. The Tux was more radical-er back then. Young people > old people, always.
Beequeen wails, very pleasing to the ears. The best album of 2005 so far (only the 3rd one I've heard but still).

I saw a programme on the new breed of country artists and they played some Woven Hand tracks, which I liked. I had heard some 16 Horsepower before and liked his voice, but never took the time to get into them. I d/l the latest Woven Hand album and I really enjoy it, so I'm going to check his other stuff out now. The music seems quite honest and you can tell this is something that matters, and that's nice.

This album is excélléncé. Kind of reminds me of a more aggressive-sounding frankie sparo in a way... very bleak. More listenerz pleaze. Anyway:
Thanks Goran, You Have Good Taste In Music And Have Enriched My Life A Bit.
