Apparently several releases will be out jan 30. Have anyone
heard about this?

i mentioned the transall serise here but i think
not too many people know anything about it.

are you talking about the transall cycle too? the
raster-noton site has lots of information and samples about
the first two -- but i haven't found anything about realease
dates or what other places are carrying it.

where did you get jan 30 from?

Transvision: "this release is the second part of the
transall cycle. transall approaches with the problematics of
speed, the vision of utopia and the dissolution of our ideas
into fragments."

Transrapid will be re-released with an all new track
listing. One more ep coming out soon, and then another
release, unknown whether or not it is an ep or an lp.

so anyway, i got these eps the other day. they're soo good -
probably one of my favourite noto things (along with cyclo
and wohltemperiert).
the first two are like expansions of the vinyl transrapid
ep, while the third (transspray) has a more abrasive sound
- the track bit is especially good. check it out
peoples.

also it seems new noto next month again (a second
collaboration with sakamoto, called insen), funtimes.

also, has anyone else heard the noto track MM on the archiv
compilation? quite unusual for him in that it has some sort
of identifiable 'groove' (or something) with quite a
prominant beat. hm, i think a lot of people would really
like it...

I am quite excited for these. Do you have them shared? I
would love to get ahold of them. Collecting even half his
discography on slsk was quite the headache.

i rarely use slsk these days (since mac) and the latest
solarseek doesn't seem to work properly, maybe because of
the soulseek update... i don't know.

but come on man! they're cheap as fuck in the americas (at
FE for example) and a lot of effort has been put into the
packaging and stuff (writings / those cool cds
which are partly clear etc.). and there are samples for
every track at the raster site so it's not like you're gonna
get ripped...

Yeah. I love all his other stuff, and normally would
consider it worth it. But alva noto stuff normally goes for
about $40 here because of the lack of domestic distribution,
and I can't really budget for cd's right now (as much as I
used to love buying them, I can't afford it at the rate I
consume music)

Alva Noto will play with Biosphere in Oslo in the near
future. More info should be at randomsystem, but the
website seems to be down atm

Kay... Transall Cycle 2&3 are amazing. MM is also really
neat. I hope he releases the cycle as a full album
