Anyone watch the culture show on bbc2 earlier? had an
interesting interview with Steve Reich, which ok was more
tailored for an uninformed audience, but interesting
nonetheless.
dunno about a transcript but:

"He’s been described as America’s greatest living
composer. Charles Hazlewood brings Reich together with his
regular collaborators, the Smith Quartet, to explore one of
his seminal works, Different Trains, which is featured in a
BBC2 film this weekend on music from Auschwitz"

that would be interesting to see, i think. on tomorrow night
around 10ish iirc

also the four tet video for 'as serious as your life'
featured in a piece about english folk music... excellent.

Steive Reich can either be really enjoyable or absolutely
damn boring in my opinion.

His repetitive tape loop music isn't that good, but I love
Music For 18 Musicians a lot.
