IronLung: get their album 'The Three EPs'.. it fucking
rules! Or their new one: 'Hot Shots II'.. not as good as
3EPs but still worth a listen.
If you want a specific song get 'Dry The Rain'... one of the
best things I've ever heard.

It's not an EP but a compilation of 3 Eps (hence the name..
The Three EPs). so there's 12 songs on it

the Betas are shit hot, try to see them live, fantastic. the
Three EPS is a good starting point, but check out King
Biscuit Time, its a solo project of the lead singer, more
great stuff, the first albums a bit hit and miss, but
Hotshots II i think is a great album.
The Beta Band are one of my favourite bands.

I agree, I dont think I would have given it a second listen
if I had not heard one song I liked.....

But overall, "The Beta Band" is a pretty shitty cd.

beta band has a few EXTREMELY good songs and then alot of
other "so so" stuff that i think is intentionally "so so"
just to throw everyone off. they are attempting to be
slightly less gratuitous than some bands i believe.
they are honostly a great inspiration to me in ways. even
the bad stuff they do is commendable in its experimentalness
yet still classicalness. something completely new that only
seems completely familiar. if that makes sense.

i love the beta band
(at least what ive heard of them so far)
i only have a few songs.. maybe around 6-7 so far and i like
them all..
although a few of them are amazing while the othesr are just
good
IMO

The 3-ep's is easily their best but Hot Shots II is also
very good. They can get a great laid back groove thing
going when they want to. IF you ever get the chance to see
them live GO! Absolutly amazing.

i saw the beta band open for RADIOHEAD in vancouver.....had
never really heard of them except for the song on the 'high
fidelity' soundtrack. they were decent.'dry the rain' was
the song i most remember liking....thom spoke fondly of them
and ya gotta respect what an artist like thom says about ANY
band =]

which is that album (by this group) whit the cd cover
looking kind of a beautiful lanscape or something?
I think there was a river or something like a picture taken
right in the place
does any body know

LeCoeur: I saw high fidelity and liked it a lot

That's their eponymous debut album. I think they stole the
picture from somewhere, but made changes to it.
