it's pretty catchy

but it didn't sound original.. originality is the cure.

well, acid isn't really "original", and well melodic idm
wouldn't be either. but i'm all for that retro sound.

A++

excellent track, I love it. Everything comes together like
magic, great chemistry, great production.

Sometimes the stars are in the correct configuration and
Dread Cthulhu rises. This is one of those times.

Aphex Twin is a trend setter, I wonder how many people will
jump on this style now ;)

controller,studiophile bx8 studio monitors.

vsts: discovery, pro53, tau2, cm303,drummatic,A1. and bunch
of fxs.

have some hardware too, but didn't use those for this track.

he didn't really start the trend. i have been really into
acid since hearing luke vibert's yoseph and ceephax's stuff.
always loved aphex acid too, the new ep is excellent.

YOU need to switch back to your pre-kwanzaa avatar. I don't
have it archived and I miss it.

Lush. Just pure lushness.
RDJ would be happy.
Question:
I don't do HTML, so how do you restrict what we see, what is
listed rather, in /xylic directory on your page?

Points: 9459 Status: Lurker | Followup to x0hx: #01461120

i'm not hosting that server. my isp is, so i can't restrict
anything.

right... but why isn't "loki" listed in that dir...

there is no dir. it was an old index file you saw, i've
deleted it now. my isp restricts ppl from seeing my hosted
files.

hehe LOL no he no way that he started the acid style nor
Ceephax or Vibert...thats really old school, im just saying
that Tons off people will jump on the band wagon now and
start doing tracks like this (because its hot right now when
Aphex doing it, and the way AFX doing it it EASILY the
best).

Come ON U CUNTS LETS AVE SOME AFX ACID!

an oh!

forgot to say, I LIKED your track, it was good :)

I don´t understand the resemblance you hear to Aphex
twin´s stuff, except maybe that it has an acidy vibe. Not
like Aphex at all to my ears. Just a good electronic song.

Great stuff. The beat is the strongest part IMO. I'm not so
sure about how long the synthesised pizzicato (plucked)
strings go on for though. Maybe have them come in later-
more of a drum intro? At least they went before the acid
kicked in.

offline Taxidermist from Black Grass on 2005-01-17 04:32 [#01463051]

Heh... that sounded a lot more like plaid than afx.

Not saying you trying to rip off plaid, I just don't see how
everyone seemed to be comparing it to afx, where it sounds
closer to about 20 other artists.

I liked it... :)

havent heard it yet, will do later but if your being
compared to afx and plaid then this must be very nice mate.
well done!
