This looks neat... Or should I say this sounds neat?

Anyways, using video cards 3d processing capabilities for
processing sounds with uber high sample rates. Looks/Sounds
like a neat little technology. I can't wait to try it out :)

GPUs can be used as super fast matrix math processors (and
the transistor counts are insane anyway!), so the past few
years have seen all sorts of interesting work on
restructuring some algorithms to use them. Especially now
with PCI express there'll be more of this (AGP sucks for
getting data back).
