Experiences with your own "label"

I was wondering if anyone here set up a label for the
purpose of releasing just their own music? I have been over
to the Fat Cat DIY site but am curious about those who post
here. I'm thinking of doing it myself only with small
limted runs and no booking.

it's fun if you have the motivation, and don't expect
receiving any recognition or money.

I defenitely wouldn't be in it for the money. Of course it
would be nice to be able to get some money off of it by the
time I'm 30, but 7 years is possibly too early. I am just
tired of these new "underground" labels that still just
release clones of one another. On the Fat Cat DIY site,
there is an interview with the head of Irdial which is
probably some of the best advice I've heard.

U can give your records to small (underground whatever)
record stores and they'll sell them..
