grow it! remove all the edible guck, poke three toothpicks (not too deeply) into opposite sides of the pit and balance it using the toothpicks on the rim of a glass. fill the glass with water so the bottom of the pit is just submerged. wait! |

i don't actually know. i used to do it often as a kid and they would often bloom into quite handsom leafy plant things but my mom would always throw them out before any fruit shows up. |

yeah it totally works! once you start seeing roots form on the bottom of the pit you're supposed to plant it in a pot. but i never got quite that far. i had a crazy aunt who had lots of cats and several of these things growing. |

Agreed , avocado is the shit! My two favorites is in a greek sallad with olives and feta cheese or as a starter with sourcreme (or creme fraiche) and caviar with some fine diced onion on top. |
