Hello, I'm currently having a bass made for myself to go along with this music: At first I had the idea of getting it with midi pickups so it could be ran into a computer and used with computer synths. After doing research and talking to the builder and some other musicians, it seems that isn't such a wise move to take (midi pickups are really expensive and the results aren't that great). As for now I'm just going with a standard 4 sting bass and running through effects pedals and through software effects. Does anyone have any suggestions for the bass or for effects/software or any good set up. I'd like to know some good hardware/software that works well with bass. Thanks |

You should go with a jazzy string bass or perhaps a sub bass. (sorry thats an inside joke , i can't help you) |
