as you have said, donating to this place is sacrilege. by the way, I'm thinking of getting a little server soon, I'll use it to store files. For the time being it won't be up 24/7, I'll just be hosting it on my cable modem. If I enjoy having it I'll eventually look into hosting it for real. do you want an account on it? |

mm, it could be cool to put weird python coded art on the internet.. that is if I ever got around to making any, which I won't. I'm thinking about buying a used laptop, for the internet (non-dial up) mostly. I'm wondering if I should get one with linux preinstalled on it, just to get familiar with it. |

are you serious or teasing me =) linux preinstalled is rare and probably either costs a lot or isn't trustworthy. Most modern linux distributions have rather painless installations. I'd recommend getting something not too new, with a windows installation, and I'd guide you through shrinking the windows partition and installing linux alongside if you REALLY want to. as for the server, I'll probably make you an account and email you the information after I have done so. you might avoid it like the plague, I don't know. I thought, among other things, you could store your old hand drawings there, and maybe some miscellaneous thoughts. |
