how much of an angle can you tilt it and still get a
reasonably focused picture?

I don't know how many degrees, but the focus plane on some
shots is almost straight forward.

It's a 75mm enlarger lens and yes it only does tilting. I
don't know how shifting works, but it's not possible with
this thing.

Yes, the lensbaby.com one? It's nice, but I get better
optics much cheaper this way. The lensbaby gives streaky
background blur, but with this $15 Meopta, the blur seems to
be more calm and coherent.

For these shots I used the Canon EOS 300D (digital rebel in
the States). The homemade lens works with any SLR really, at
the moment anyway, since I don't have any specific mount on
it yet.
