mine is a bit scratched and now it wont read a single 200 kb file :( could someone be so kind to email me mini.cab from i think the /win98 folder - it'd be much appreciated im getting the iso as well but its taking approx 2 days... blargh... |

if you start mixing different versions you'll really get problems, you have to make sure that the version numbers and the language agree. i once installed dfu network from a different but appearantly equal cd and totally screwed up the whole system. |

I only found my original dutch SE copy, the mini.cab is 671 kB (687.910 bytes) but I guess you can´t use it, there it is dutch |

if you take a normal win98 SE cd, make an ISO out of it, then use an ISO editor to remove everything but files in the root directory and the "win98" directory. you can remove the online tools stuff out the win98 directory, too. the ISO should only be a tad over 100MB. i'd send it to you, but i'm in australia on terrible upload limited adsl - i can only send at about 15kb/sec. somebody else should be able to do this, though. by the way, if you don't need to boot from the CD, all somebody needs to do is zip up the "win98" folder and send it to you (delete the online tools first to save some space - it's not needed). |

thats the same size as the corrupted file on the cd... its worth a shot i think nobsmuggler: thanks, but i didnt recieve anything yet sneakattack: i think it just hasnt got enough memory.. thats all xf: ive found a faster source sharing at around 20 kb/sec.. and yeah, ive read about the /win98 folder on the intarwebs everyone: thanks for looking up the files |
