my great stealing appology:

1 - people always steal the pillows in the airplanes. so,
the price of that pillows is already a mensaly ordinary cost
for the corporation. so, its included in the price of the
ticket. so, youre paying for it, you NEED to keep it with
you, and if you dont youre dumb.
2 - chocolates are always stolen on supermarkets. so, theire
price are obviously included in other products. some corps
(in brazil, Lojas Americanas, for an example) keep theire
chocolates really unsafe and near the door, since is better
for them losing chocolates than other products. they also
know that most people not only go there and steal something,
thay also buy anotherthing they wouldnt steal. so, the
chocolate stealability is an competitive differencial for
the store.
3 - here in brazil the blockbuster megastores (Saraiva,
Siciliano, Fnac) are usual, theire huge stores that sells
books and music and softwares and they swallow lots of small
shops of these 3 sectors. theire evil. since the cds are
usually the cheaper products there (a brazilian cd costs
about 5 dollars), they are in the low security range. but
there are also the imported cds .D

so, stealing is right, stealing is great, if is from evil
gigacorps.

why not just download the mp3's and "sort of" steal them.
that way you can have all the benefits of stealing, without
the guilt or satanic allegiance

so, if you didn't steal pillows/chocolates/cockrings, the
prices wouldn't be as high as they are, no?

so you're saying you have the right to steal because other
people have to pay for your stealing?

hey, wait a minute, that means that the megacorporations
aren't the ones paying for your stolen goods - you yourself
say they incorporate it into the price of the product.
that means that other normal people have to pay for
your stealing. you just pissed all over your "stealing from
megacorporations"-argument.

it is true that large chains are eating up the small
independent stores. but where the FUCK did you get the
insane idea that stealing from the larger stores will help
the independents? you need to go into the independent store
and spend your money there. I am almost 100% sure that after
stealing "26 mixes for cash" you won't be going into the
independent to actually buy that record.

you should try stealing a head-from-ass-removal-device.

ive never stolen music from a store, i download the mp3s
check and see if its shit, if not, i will buy the cd, but i
would never actually go out of my way to steal the thing,
it goes against the artistic merits of the music, dont you
think?

it makes perfect sense... if more people bought his music,
rather then downloading it, or stealing it from music
stores, he mighten need a retail job or whatever, and could
focus more of his time on his music making...

there was a thread about this on here one time before...

even if everyone who liked his music bought his album, he'd
still need a dayjob. Selling 2 albums in a underground
market doesn't make you shit.

Stealing for anything else than absolute necessity shows a
lack of control versus the capitalist society and it's
pseudo-needs for consumption.

also, as has been said in the beginning of this thread,
stealing from a store has no ill effect on the artist in
question, just on the store itself.

it's still shit, but not for the reason you put forth.
