in the words of lackluster: "defocus is dead. wrapping was
the last release. if you see it anywhere, thank whoever had
the patience to stock it. lots of defocus backstock exists.
no further releases since oct2002. nothing to see here. to
quote MATTHEW HERBERT
'Hal went on to do design for Dego and Innerzone Orchestra
whilst Clair went on to start another label, Focus. She
still owes me a lot of money and I would begrateful if you
refrained from buying records released on this label.'"

i believe every release of the deFocus back-catalogue is for
sale at smallfish.

defocus hosted
aphelion (disappeared)
john tejada (yep.)
CiM (went on to release on ann aimee)
esem (went on to merck and Dot, and remixes)
+one (produced in the plaid bubble) (disappeared, except a
compilationtrack on some label happened)
tim koch (also thug.. released lots of stuff after deFocus)

remixing efforts:
CiM (remixed john tejada)
skye (remixed john tejada) note skye used to be a feller
called STASIS.

the website (defocusrecords.co.uk) has stopped existing
unfortunately.

i'm still trying to find out what defocus 12" yielded the
track from gack's third dj mix (about 30" into the mix) that
was posted a few months back... i'm trying to get the file
home (can't burn cd's at work, no broadband at home) so i
can clip out the track and post it, until then, if you know
defocus well and you heard that mix, let me know if you can
identify it...

ps it's a fantastic mix altogether...there's a thread with
the link to the mix around here somewhere, haven't seen gack
around for awhile...
