not bad. I liked the first 1 as a dance track, and the third
one is nice and groovy.

Yeah its good i made the first track a bit 'poppy' on the
terms that people not into electronica could 'shake thier
thing' to it. people seem to like it, im happy :D

I liked the years... cant really get into the other two
though. Kinda reminds me of Jimmy Edgar, only not so
repetetive... which is good, cause I really like Jimmy
Edgars production, but find it much too repetetive.

Good funk flavor.

what do you think of the overall production?

well some of the sounds could use it bit of touching up, I
have this same problem, where I alter a clap so it doesn't
sound like a generic clap, but in the end everyones like,
good song, but I didn't like your generic clap... gah.
Overall production is great though, you know what you're
doing.

Honestly, the only one I find patience for is the title
track...

The production is well done. Its not professional, but its
much better than most stuff I hear from most unpublished
artists. Like weatheredstoner says, you know what you are
doing. In 'the Years' I would suggest you lower the level on
the kick a bit, and maybe use a bit more bandpass on a few
of the sounds. 'Flying' also sounds like you could use a bit
of compression, due to the clipping that occurs when you
have a bunch of pads layering eachother, or your pads
contain too many voices. The kick in 'blind' needs some
compression and the beat sounds a bit too generic. I would
suggest maybe adding a bit more rhythm to it.

All in all, I would say an impressive demo. If you were to
send out these three tracks to a variety of IDM/ambient type
labels, you would prolly receive some response. If M3rck
were actually accepting demo's, I would suggest you send one
to them, but unfortunately they are not. I would not send
something to warp, cause they rarely look at people unless
they are signed somewhere, or have built up a major
following. They wouldn't even consider jega with his first
album.

not entirely digging the pauses in the first track, but
theres a very nice quality in its overall sound. the
production is tight. its unique and uses fresh sounds, and
remains in the background, which is something i dig. this
track has sort of a metroid feel to it, i like that.

flying just grooves along, its sole purpose was to carry me
to the next track. its a good break from the funk of the
title track.

blind i like the best out of the three. its mellow, its
consistant, and its even got that same metroid feel with the
bassline and pads a little bit. maybe im thinking about
metroid a bit too much, as this could be compared to
something else more accurately im sure. this track is the
most formulaic out of the three, but i think its also the
smoothest and most palatable.

thanks for sharing.

a tank you.

im just experimenting right now, trying to figure out what
exactly stilaktive wants to make.

My 8bit punk alter ego, pixlepuke, is releasing 'Who knew
robots could cry?' soon, watch out for that
