i will also miss dimebag. i live in DFW, and he's from this area, so the stations around here have been playing Pantera all night, and i've heard hundreds of calls from people who are so sad, who talk about how humble he was, how he didn't have a rockstar mentality, and would actually sit down with you and have a beer and hold a conversation with you. Dimebag is definitely the man - more so for me, since he's one of the few musicians from my area to actually make a name for himself. He's a fucking HERO here in DFW. Here's to you Darrell. :*) |

apparently the crazed man went on stage and blamed dimebag for breaking up pantera, thus ruining his life (how can the breakup of a band ruin a fan's life to that extent?). after asking dimebag why he left out phil (pantera's singer), he took out his gun and shot him 5-6 times in the head. before going on his killing spree, he also apparently started to blabber about how he needed some money to get a heroin fix. this is abslutely crazy and completely uncalled for. this incident will probably lead to including metal detectors and every music shows from now on. that's when you really realize that we live in a fucked up society, when you have to go through metal detectors to attend a fuckin rock show. |
