i wouldn't say it's better than either merzbow or venetian
snares, but i'm enjoying it.

somhow it repeats, and it's like it's traing to copy him
self, like it's traing to go to my brains and take control
over my body, and like it repats again and again and ...
like ... :)

The droning ambience sounds like something NASA came up with
to record sounds in space.

The effects could use varience in sound.

I think it is an interesting start to something.

Diebstahl? is that the name of the radio or the name of
an album on repeat? (found it on the rand()% page)

It's not that "longplayer" thing they used in the millennium
dome is it? The one that is supposed to last for 1000 years?

it needs an interactive aesthetic interface so the listener
can guide the stream towards their preference...

offline plaidzebra from so long, xlt on 2004-12-09 12:31 [#01420840]

it's actually better than eigenradio, i think...

So wait, on this eigenradio, we are supposed to hear mangled
versions of songs? I noticed an ISAN song on it a couple
minutes ago.

offline plaidzebra from so long, xlt on 2004-12-09 15:30 [#01420970]

eigenradio has a variety of inputs, right now there are
links to mp3's with random manglings of christmas music...

there's a blurb about how it works at the site...

offline fleetmouse from Horny for Truth on 2004-12-09 15:36 [#01420973]

There's an eigenradio Christmas album I'm downloading
now. It's probably better than the straight stream as a
human presumably selected some of the most interesting
bits... I'll let you know in a few minutes...

I'm building a Reaktor ensemble that does pretty much
that... my dream is to be fingerpainting with sound. What
I'm gonna need is a touchscreen with custom programming.

That eigeneradio thing is pretty stupid. Just songs on top
of eachother. Half of what makes a music piece good is
silence in the right places.
