Pat Metheny is good at times, but he has lots of cheesy
stuff...

As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls

Is the only track you need to know, parts of it were used in
a Parfume commercial

yeah, but then he's got the tracks where he simply plays
piano. He's not worse than Chick Corea when he gets his
hands on a few synths, though...

tolstoyed: it's jazz, which sometimes are on the borders of
being cheesy...

his Bright Size Life with Jaco Pastorius on bass is an
amazing album.

He has some good music, I listened to an acoustic album with
just him and Charlie Hayden recently, it was nice and simple
He was teaching guitar at Berklee at the age of 17. If he
was good enough to do that then, he should be doing great
things by now, except he isn't.

excuse me sir, but Pat Metheny DOESN'T play any synth or
piano. he plays guitar actually. :P

actually, Lyle Mays plays piano and keyboard on this album.

hmm.. a bit confused today.. I knew that, since I've got
three albums by him, but I started talking about chick corea
as being both of them...

haven't listened to his stuff in a while though... a bit too
cheesy at times.

I only have "Offramp" and some live material which I quite
like

I would classify his music as movie music

Pat is a pimp. And he plays a guitar that he can make sound
like a trumpet... Offramp.
