From the domino website

On My Own

What do you think?

Sounds good nice and loud. Electronic shoegazery sound.
Don't know whether its cool or gay. I think cool.

His remix is one of the best on the recent remix album.
Absolutely gorgeous. The LFO remix is quite awesome too.

yeah i really liked those 2 mixes, and more surpisingly the
linkin park rock remix of enjoy the silence. but the whole 3
cd package was a bit of a rip off because it contrained
mostly previously released material, so i didn't buy it.

Yeah, I believe its from that album.

I've not heard any of his stuff before - I had the
misconception that he made hardcore, snaresy stuff... I
think I was confusing him with Otto Von Shirach.

I might look at the album. He sounds like My Bloody
Valentine from space.

Ooh, I like this!

I thought I didn't like his music because I listened to
Far Away Trains Passing By and I thought it was a bit
shit and also the track Erronous posted is a bit shit but I
really like this track I don't know.

When I read your post I was thinking: What Linkin Park
remix? You must me rambling or something. But then i googled
Mike Shinoda, and got dozens of Linkin Park hits... This is
a bit embarrasing, cause I have said so many times that I do
not like Linkin, and I find myself enjoying that remix. So I
guess I have to keep my mouth shut from now on :)

Why, oh why did you bring that up?

i've got both his LP's and i think he's wicked. i've got the
depeche mode remix and a remix he did of a slowblow track
called crazy for you.

he did an excellent track on a slowblow tribute album
released by morr in 2002. it's not a remix but it is said to
be "inspired by slowblow. it's called "wherever you are". i
love this track.

i just got his LP's the other day. didn't know what i was
missing.

This is really good. I absolutely couldn't stand
"Suddenly_The_Trees_Are_Giving_Away.MP3", but this is
great. Like "kevin shields goes disco" or something.

yes suddenly the trees are giving away is blatant shit

but you should all get A Strangely Isolated Place.

he didn't remix, but covered "crazy for you" by slowdive,
not slowblow. everyone should check every slowdive record
also. imagine a slower ulrich schnauss with more atmosphere
and mbv-esque male/female vox.
check also "blue bell knoll" by cocteau twins for more
ulrich schnauss influences...

also, i thought u.s.'s first album was better and more
consistent than the second, and i thought "suddenly the
trees..." was great also.

to each their own...

bah, of course i knew it was a cover and that the band's
name was slowdive, not slowblow (that's an icelandic band i
had been listening too and had mind, quite good actually, so
that was an honest mistake)
