the fact that no one has mentioned this proves no one loves
aphex anymore. especially since everyone learned that

Your best Aphex Twin story:
this one time, i was going to see dj smojphace over in
bristexleberryton, UK, but the bus got a flat! i was so
upset, i thought for sure i'd never get to see him play
live...

but then, out of nowhere, a tank pulled up behind the bus,
and out of the turret popped a grinning, bearded face!. it
was none other than the notorious dj smojphace himself! he
came into the bus to see what was wrong, and i said, "hey
there! i'm a big fan of your work!"

needless to say, he gave me a lift to the gig in his tank
(which is actually powered by his own indominatable spirit
and sense of goodwill - not gasoline) and we've been close
friends (pen pals) ever since.

p.s. - his set was phantastic! everyone loved it and was
dancing in abstract spastic freeform dances all night long!
