These guys play headline next saturday in Dublin along with

Plaid (dj's),
The Bug (live),
Decal
Redneck Mainfesto

as part of U:Macks 10th birthday. U:Mack are the promoters
that have proabaly been the best at bringing top acts to
Irleand:

Autechre,
APhex,
Plaid,
Squarepusher,
Fugazi, No Means No,
Two one Swords men etc.

So what are Shellac like? I know they curated ATP once

Shellak are fucking quality.
It's Steve Albini. The guy who mastered In-Utero and some
R.E.M. stuff.

Shellac are cool.

Download "The Billiard Player" or "Wing Walker" for a demo.

Rock. It's mean-sounding, too.

you may not be living a complete life not having heard
shellac. seeing them live is incredible. they themselves
describe their music as minimalist rock. it's intense. one
of my favorite bands ever.

it's nothing like mogwai.

there are excellent vocals courtesy of mr. albini and
sometimes mr. weston.

have a question ready for them at the gig.

i just downloaded '1000 hurts', 'the futurist', 'terraform'
and 'singles'...it's exceelnt stuff, some of the drums and
guitars totally remind me of 'in utero', exact same sound. i
love its minimalism!!
