this was ok, i liked the first five seconds the best, to me the percussion is a little unfocused and has no direction. i think you've got skill, but this track isn't developed enough. since you're not hurting for fans, hopefully you won't mind a lukewarm review. |

ironically i can take the time to note that since i'm at work and lunchtime is over, i can't take the time to elaborate on what i meant by unfocused. even more ironically, i'll take the time anyway... at least, to say that "unfocused" was my incompetent attempt to put a word to a quality that i didn't like. maybe it's the overuse of the whsshhh and tshhh of the cymbals... it's a little messy, a little sloppy. i think the kick is a little stiff, also. maybe it, and the track, seem a little too generic... i actually enjoyed it more the second time... and i really should mention that i'm listening on cheap headphones... |

it's that lazy day before thanksgiving vibe today...slightly stupefied... i really think it's only fair to mention the headphones since it's not possible to give a definitive opinion with walkman quality ear buds... |

downrecords is a tiny calgary based record label that just started like a month or two ago. I have no idea what involvement i will have with them after i play this december 2nd show with them. I haven't really thought about it. |
