I believe this movie came out in October (Feb '04 in Japan). Has anyone seen it? I'll have to hunt it down via torrent today. I came across this trailer this afternoon and I like what I see. The cel shading technique looks silky smooth... there's some really gorgeous, glossy looking moments in this trailer... the cityscapes look nifty. Any other similar movies out there using cel shading? I like how it translates into the anime medium. |

i don't think you'll find a torrent for it, its not out on dvd in japan until 25th November and i don't think there are any subtitles so you might have to wait for a fansub then... anyway i'm looking forward to seeing it, i'm a big fan of Masamune Shirow. |

That's damned impressive stuff, never seen anything like that. In the bonus animated.gif the way the girl flys, so damn smooth. So colourful too, gotta get me some of that. |

Im seeing Ghost in the shell 2 on a cinema festival this wekend. I have alredy seen it on my computer but it will be amazing seeing this on the big screen. I don't think i have ever watched anime on cinema ? Looking forward to the experience. Gay love sido. |

hmm, no, no sign of a subtitled version :( anyone watched the Ghost in the Shell TV series? I'm surprised at how good it is, its kind of an alternate future from GITS2 and there is more time for them to go into the complexities of the story, don't worry if you think it's dumbed down for a tv audience. |

Awesome, thanks for bumping this, I totally forgot about it. I'm enamoured by its beauty again, hopefully I'll grab it today. My cousin has all the Appleseed/Ghost in the Shell manga/graphic novels, whatever they are... very cool stuff. But I've never seen the animes. Anybody play the PS2 game yet? |
