They aren't too bad, I guess. But something really bothers me about them and I can't quite put my finger on it. They're a bit generic I suppose. They seem like they might have the talent to make something much better, but they don't push themselves to do anything out of the ordinary. Even thought that's probably what they are going for. Who knows. I haven't even given them a chance. I've just sort of pigeonholed them for the hell of it. Oh well. I can't believe I just typed that much about this band. |

A pretty solid nay on the coldplay. Many bands I can separate the asshole qualities of the musicians from the music they make. I cannot do it here. The melodies just leak self-indulgence out of every excruciating note. Can't stand it. |

i wouldn't take a bullet for them or anything... but any band remotely approaching decency that gets a lot of play on the charts is cool in my books... just imagine all the young'uns who used coldplay as a gateway drug of sorts... and yeah, they've wrote a few nice melodies in their day, as well... |
