Cool topic. I added a lot of those mentioned to my SLSK wishlist, maybe I'll get to hear them before Christmas... 2005. The Comsat Angels- Eye of the Lens- great drum sound, mildly Goth post rock... just awesome. Blows me away, that drum sound. Rapoon- Endings in Rain- beautiful alien ambient track with some wicked... rain sounds. Very soggy tune. Boxhead- Telegraph Hill- likewise, except replace rain with wind. Artist- The Beatles. They were a skiffle group that eventually branched out a bit. I recommend Strawberry Fields Forever. Sounds like Radiohead and has Can-like percussion at the end. Good influences. |
