dated. boring. hasn't aged well at all. liked it at the
time. not now. 3/10.

This is an excellent album which still gets listened to now
30 million years after it original release.

finally I can discuss this fucking great release!!!!!

ok I bought it cos everybody said it was a classic... and
really it didnt let me down

its of course very oldschool, which I like, but eventhough
its oldschool, it is full of creativity

for example, I love b12 electro soma, but this one seems to
have more soul, I dont know how to explain, but out of all
these classic albums from the early 90s and godfathers of
idm... this one is like the warmest... the one album with
more personality (more than incunabula, bytes, electro
soma...)

and many times danceable too... I odnt know, its fresh and
its great
one of my alltime favourites
I dont find more technical ways of describing it, so sorry
for the vague conclusions, but its what I feel... right now
I am not listening to it, but next time I post here I will
do it with the album itself playing in my hifi so I can talk
deeper about it.

great listen, I was very late to discover it, so if there is
anybody who still didnt discover lfo I highly recomend it

although this record is dated it still sounds awesome,
quality music from the early 90´s...I am starting to get
old
I would rate it a 4/5

this is one of the first records that opened a new musical
era for me

LFO then = very alive
LFO now = very dead

Sheath has some good songs on it but I still think Mark
shouldn´t have release it under LFO

well, we have diferent opinions on seath, but anyway back to
frequencies... I dont see it so dated... ok, it sounds
clearly from the early 90s but eventhough the sounds and
machinery used are old, the music concept is still fresh I
think

ok its not glitchy as fuck, but its much more creative than
other albums that have been made this last year with the aim
of looking at the past acidy idm (yoseph)

I think it sounds dated to me because I listened to it back
then,
you are right because there are much more releases from that
period that sounds much more dated

*wooow 23000 points nacmat!!*

I don't think it sounds dated because, like ideas, "good
music is good music FOREVER!"

A classic indeed, dated or not.. If AFX had released this
music today everyone would go WooooooW! I think maybe AFX's
new analord project will sound something like this...

pretentiousness.

maybe wait with getting it for another month...warpmart
usually gives out what ever they have left real
cheap..usually in packages, so you might get everything by
lfo real cheap.

I was just joking...

I put this in my iPod this summer and it got a fair bit of
play. It's one of those albums I never tire of, mainly
because there isn't a daft track to be found on it.

<3 is the message

astounding. honestly i'd get this album just for the mids

I was playing this only the other day. I purchased the week
it came out and it remains a classic to this day. There
wasnt much that sounded like LFO in 1991 (was it 1991?)
neither. Its a must for anyones electronic collection...

Excellent album. I would file Frequencies under
'essential' - and that's not a rank I bestow upon it
lightly.

As for this sounding like Richie Hawtin's old FUSE release
on Warp... not really. Other than the fact that they're both
early techno albums. I like a lot of Richie's work, but I
far prefer this LFO record to his FUSE stuff.

there are some really good tracks on dimension intrusion,
but it hasn't stood the test of time like frequencies has.

i'll give fuse a listen today..completly forgot what it's
like. it's more straightforward techno compared to
frequencies i think..a bit harsher, but also very
acidy..could be im totally wrong :)
