Coldcut - let us re/play?????

hexane on 2001-02-27 12:16 [#00000577]

I noticed in the record shop that their are 2 coldcut cds -
one called 'let us play' and the other 'let us replay'.
whats the dif? is one a remix album or somethin? either way,
which one is better?

I have "Let us play", and I can tell you that is very very
good. Either the music or the multimedia content.
However I did not hear the Replay version, I think there
must be very good remixes, so also worth to check.

what is definitely worth to check is the video section in
Let Us Play. You won't believe your eyes...

Let us replay is also very good, but I'm sure you could all
have guessed that, non?

H3XAN3 [C6H14] = HEXANE

I solved the formula, you're the same person.

Cheers!

if its the one i've got it's a multi-media cd with loads of
videos and interactive sequencers and the first version of
VJamm which is a video dj type thing. hours of fun.

I reckon they're both shit, other than Beats'n'Pieces, which
you can get as a single anyway. But what do I know eh?

man, this post was from ages ago....but thanks. i still
haven't got it yet, because i realised the ninjatune section
at my regular record-shop was brimming with other awesome
artists. can anyone recommend the best works from
NinjaTune?
i really am fuddy-duddied, now that that
napster thing is gone....well, is good as gone...

DJ Vadim 'USSR Reportiore' is probably my favourite Ninja
Tune release. And the Mr Scruff album 'Keep it Unreal'. And
the 'Funkjazzticaltricknology' compilation. Beware though,
they have put out some real substandard jazz-funk cack in
their time . . .

Bn1 on 2001-07-12 12:26 [#00014456]

True, but recently Ninja have gotten their act together I
think..

Amon Tobin 'Supermodified'
Dj Food 'Kaliedescope'
and Funki Porcini and Mr Scruff are all good.

If you are interested in more ninja stuff you should buy
'xen cuts' which is 3 cds of the various ninjas, and worth
every cent. Or penny.

I suggest listening to Team Dyobi

a record called "Pushchairs for Grown Ups is brilliant"

Pipes and steel

Fresh Produce by Fink is a rather good Ninja release, all
amon tobin albums are worth purchasing as are all their
compilation albums.

Okay, this is the only topic even vaguely concerning these
particular releases, but i thought i'd be a good boy and
bump it rather than making a new one. The purpose of such
wanton bumpage?

These albums are fucking awesome.

I love them to bits, very atmospheric, funky and generally
wonderful stuff. Colcut don't get nearly enough praise on
xlt, and i thought i would Do My Bit, as it were.

I only got this album about a month ago and I was highly
impressed with it, for the most part you just can't go wrong
with ninjatune
