Godspeed You! Black Emperor in general... Noir Désir - Nous n'avons fait que fuir (even though you probably have to speak french to get it ' _' it's one of the few songs where the lyrics are more important than the music) and Jandek is fucking scary. sounds totally wrong. it's like, um... it's halloween, you walk into your house and there's a cadaver on the floor - but you can't tell whether it's a fake one put here for a joke, or a real one. in any case it's sick. |

The Microphones, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Pinback all have are more guitar music with singers. Good songwriting though. Pinback is kind of lame, but it works for depressing music. |
