Traject

Anyone checked out this guy? He recently put out an album
and it is freaking amazing.

It's Strengir Hrynja, and every single track on it is
hands-down amazing. I'd call it a blend of Autechre and
Richard Devine with a little bit of mangled vocal chopping
here and there. It's also incredibly bass-heavy (and
incredibly well-mastered overall) so it really rocks the car
stereo.

I uploaded a track so you all can check it out:
here

I have two versions of it. Bit of a mess when I was
downloading. Anyway, one is the correct 6 track album and
the other is somewhat of a mystery. The first track on it
sounds like Water with most of the bass removed, almost as
though it's a demo and the rest are just similar style. I
can't find any information about a 10 track release though
so I have no idea what it really is.

yeah, he's pretty good...the devine comparison stands :)
i only have the 6 track strengir hrynja though.

this is almost definately my favourite 'electronic' release
this year. every song sounds soo good. i think there's only
just the one album though aside from a compilation
appearance or two.

if you like this you'd probably also really like einoma,
samples. equally lovely.

yeah einoma is lovely (he remixed the track on that
traject's album)..everyone should check track 'amonie' -
absolutely beautiful!

I've heard some with both. Traject won an electronic music
competition here in Iceland some time ago with that song.
Don't know if it's exactly that version though...and yeah
it's a good album.

the spezial material label is always a safe bet.

Ahh sorry didn't see the other threads. Also, does anyone
know if any --aps rips of this album exist? I only have a
175kbps rip. I think I'm going to go out and by the album
and rip a high qual version for everyone.

Also, I don't think I've seen any other stuff from him
appear except on the ai stations release (which is a top
notch release btw)
