well when i bought this in 2002 i was a different person.
it was strange and intimidating. i wasnt ready for it then

but tonight its striking me with such thoughtfulness and
maturity. i never could listen all the way through it
before. now 'you could feel the sky' has just rolled on and
its like a ghost of the 1960s.

what a perfect album!

this proves there's a serious lack of any good new
electronica albums..

there hasn't been a good electronic album in quite a while
(except for 'songs for europe'...there's plenty going on in
rock genre though.

What about Team Doyobi's latest release?? That was a good
album, probably my fave of the year, plus Geogaddi still
rules i reckon

it's a good album.

i have no problem with there being a lack of (good) new
electronic albums coming out. there are a shitload of older
ones i probably wont hear in my life time. if all music
came to a halt from this moment on it would be no problem.

i listened to boc way too much,so now i officially don't
feel their music anymore.

it's like bleach in the summer

ultravisitor earlier this year..

well.. even if I sense the tongue-in-cheek-thingie... if you
agree with Hume, you're correct (or completely wrong..
depends on what the ultimate critic likes...), but
otherwise, musical taste is different.

I still like BOC, though.. haven't heard geogaddi, even

have you gotten any jazzkammer yet?

mhtrtc can be quite nice, yes.

as for that jazzkammer - im sure i downloaded one of their
(his) albums, but i can't remember which one - i guess the
one you recommended (im at work atm, or else i'd check). and
also that other noisy album by some guy - i remember quite
liking this one.

Geogaddi is extremely good. I only save it for certain
occasions though, so I rarely hear it. Its chock full of
subtle details and unique textures which you wont find
anywhere else.

its one of the most visual albums i've ever heard. i always
see 70's documentry footage of ducks with lots of contrasty
yellow things going on around the edge.

Geogaddi and boc in general is a very Wintertime album for
me but like Weatheredstoner i only listen to it occasionally
so it stays special.

doing it being listening to it, it being boc, boc being it.

prefuse still stands for me gogo...one of the best around.

last winter i was soo about boc,you know that also..at one
point i started to analyze their music...then i started to
contribute for davidac's page which made me stroll through
the whole internet for boc.
i just wrote boards of canada in the sercah page and i would
check every serachresult it would hit.

not good

out of my friends who are into electronic music, the ones
who aren't into Geogaddi are the ones who are really into
drill'n'bass and full-on aggressive techno.

so i guess i'm saying it's for people who have an ear for
subtlety and depth!

What the fuck. I love subtlety and depth. But I also love
drill'n'bass and aggressive techno. So you can shove that
theory up your cock ;)

hmm. i think that response proves my point about aggressive
music. i might go further and talk about life experience,
maturity and emotional receptiveness, but i fear it would be
a waste of time here :-(

Get a clue mate. Your 'point' about aggressive music was a
rash generalization that doesn't really amount to shit. I
and everyone else I know into drill or harsh aggressive
music also has a taste for the lighter side of electronic
music (as if the 2 don't occasionally mix anyway).

Actually nuc is right, people who like aggressive music are
immature, emotionally irreceptive and have less life
experience than those who listen to subtle and deep music.
