i saw the hives live in '04 at roskilde. well, i saw one
song before leaving. it was really annoying.

The bands (at least of the recent retro-surge of them that
I've heard) tend to suck

I can't say I've heard any of the originals back in the
60's/70's, but I believe Ophecks is a fan
