analord samples

if they are fake they're good fakes

my guess is that these may well be analord tracks, but maybe
in unfinished form, or looped from rips of live shows where
he played them

because these tracks are really being played by aphex &
cylob since two years, and cylob played them at a party in
bruxelles 1 month ago and i can tell you that when they're
dropped in a good set you don't ask yourself if it is aphex
twin you are hearing, you just know it

but i agree on the "not very complicated, very looping 4/4
music" style of comment, i was a bit shocked at first, but
hey i like it and i'm sure many people can still appreciate
this kind of music

pps, the sort of remix from abb3 is just pure fucking
aaaaaFFxx, it's damn good !!!

it's 30 seconds! those tracks could be totally shit or the
greatest thing ever. if you have the complete track .post
it.

I believe that 2nd track to be beautiful. My instinct tells
me its genuine because theres a certain lush feeling on
hearing an afx piece. I can hear it in there. And I need
more, now! More of track 2 pleeaaseeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!

there much more to track 2 than 1. does sound a bit like
.000890569 but its faster, cleaner and maybe even better!
althoug i LOVE .000890569.

i don't know whether they're fake or genuine, but they
doesn't do anything to me.

not that i was impatient nor willing to buy it (even if it
came on CD format) though.

no, i guess i'm just bored of this idm stuff now : )
besides this sounds very amateur to me...

i do not listen to only dark and abstract stuff.

as for analord..it's acid, it's supposed to sound like that
:)

offline uzim on 2004-11-07 14:15 [#01386734]
Points: 17716 Status: Lurker

yeah, i suppose so - i've never been really fond of any
track described as "acid", anyway... : )

(i like those "sounds of europe" samples more than "analord"
ones, but still not entirely my cup of tea at the moment
sorry ^^ i think i'm into more "straightforward" stuff
lately... Smashing Pumpkins, Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill
OSTs), Nasum (i haven't got any album yet but i'm thinking
of getting one - still hesitating which one), Underworld
(Second Toughest In The Infants is such a great album!)...)

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2004-11-07 14:23 [#01386736]

i see...that underworld sure surprises me :)
and i don't know yamaoka or nasum...hmm

im listening to secret frequency crew - forest of the echo
downs at the momment which is quite nice...not sure how to
describe it..easylistening music i guess :)

dunno..it's definiely my favourite release this year..you
have to give it time though. i liked it since the begining
(im a big fan of philip jeck), but i started to really
appreciate it after the 3rd listen..maybe 4th :)

offline uzim on 2004-11-07 14:34 [#01386790]

for Akira Yamaoka, you can download the Silent Hill OSTs in
their entirety here ^^ - only downside is that
each track is .zipped individually and you may have to
rewrite the ID3s too, but it's well worth it... i have SH2
OST and SH3 OST (the latter on CD as well).

"Promise (reprise)" off SH2 OST has one of the most haunting
melodies i know, by the way.

and Nasum is a grindcore band, you can listen to
some tracks on their site (download > sound section). : )

(i may be getting some more music in the likes of Morcheeba
and Martina Topley-Bird as well, i really love the ones i
have - Big Calm and Quixotic...)

you might actually like secret frequency crew - forest of
the echo
downs if you like morcheeba. apperantly you can hear samples
at bleep :)

ripping them off the internet. reminds me of the stuff on
"on".

also, i like minimal techno stuff, like richie hawtin...i
think i'm gonna love this whole series.

yeah, you guys are retarded.
those are not afx tracks.
they sound like someone's first attempt at an acid loop.
the second one has potential, but if that is afx he has
surely smoked himself into degeneracy.

blow

have you listened to his old stuff?

back then he did plenty of simple and accessible tracks wich
bears many ressemblance to these one...
i'm not saying they're real, but i think many people
consider his old stuff to be classic because they discovered
when it was already a classic, with everybody saying "check
this out it's beautiful!"

analord doesn't have that timeless status yet so if these
samples are real they'll be criticized with the whole of his
works in mind, and maybe people will dismiss them when they
would have praised them if it was old

these samples are very short, they might be genuine, cuz:

1: sounds like aphex thanks to the microtonal pitch bend
applied to vacant filtersynth line... but,

2: sounds like a Native Instruments Reaktor Synth loop
preset....

also i just heard a dude
"bleeearrriitssshhhdingdingdinggg"-ing over the 'Calx'
track(8) off RDJ album under the guise of 'Analord - 01 -
unkown.mp3'.... oh=hilarity!

"i haven't listened to any caustic window in a long time
but i'm pretty sure it sounds nothing like that. also, all
those so-called analord clips on soulseek or wherever (taken
from cylob's, etc) are nothing like analord.
