I dont understand how money really works anyways...
So like thousands of years ago, some asshole was like "I dont have anything to physically trade with you, will you accept this round metal thing? Its worth the same as a barrel of grapes" and then some other idiot was like "sure!"

You guys really need to take an economics course of some sort.
Or philosophy of economic developments.
Fleetmouse, raising/lowering taxes (interest rates, more like it) are a way to balance out the economy.
But obviously, you can't do it overnight.
Weatherdstoner, I suggest you take a course/class on the subject, you will learn a lot and questions like those will be answered better than I can reproduce the answers here
