In light of the recent epic battle between these juicy young men, I've decided that there needs to be some collaboration amongst musicians on this board.... so how 'bout it, you two tossers interested in flowing to some beetz? I was thinking of coming up with a generic loop, sending it to each of you, having you record yerselves, send it to me, I'll mix it down with sum o dat FUNK.... thanks for being interested in us. but i'd probably be hesitant to do that for 2 reasons. 1 i do make my own instrumental stuff, so rhyming over someone else's beat, especially a so-called 'generic' one, isn't an opportunity i'd jump on. 2 i live in a college dorm and these people are weird enough already. just for listening to the music i listen to and watching the movies i watch i get weird looks and lots of gossip. it's really petty. so i wouldn't be and haven't been comfortable rhyming with these close minded white upper class fuckers around. maybe at home tho. i definitely need to record some rhymes cos i'm better on paper (or screen) than vocally at the moment (i prefer singing actually). |

i think there should be a public domain song that anyone on this site should be able to edit and contribute to. someone can start it (bare bones), upload the individual tracks (and a relative session file if applicable) to a web site and let someone else work on it. that might be interesting. |

multi-track! ;D one time when i was 12 i had the idea to form a band and make a song where all the band members imitated their instruments with their mouths, and the vocalist instead of singing played an instrument (most likely guitar) and made it sound like singing. |

archrival would sound better anyway cos he's black. unless he's really nerdy, he has a major edge. with few exceptions (most of them being mixed race emcees) white rappers just don't sound right. most sound corny. i don't sound corny but i'd rather listen to a black rapper than a white rapper with a similar voice as mine. |

it's a comfort thing. the 3/4 i'm cool with don't gossip about me. the 1/4 that do i don't like and try not to talk to (unfortunately one is my roommate who is here often). since i don't like them i don't care about their opinion, but the whole thing psyches me out. it's like sports i guess, only i haven't rapped / played (sport) long enough to overcome the situation. anyway if miraculously they'd all go home for the weekend i'd do it, otherwise i'd have to wait till march 15-25. |
