I voted for Kerry.

VirginP, i think that is foolish. Everyone should be up to
date on current events. These people run and effect our
lives. No offense intended but you should rethink your
opinion.

Honestly i dont like either of them really.

Kerry came across as a dishonest salesman. All he did was
pitch about "bah blah blah". I got a bad vibe from him.

Bush is soso. Hes not great but he isnt as horrible as
everyone makes him out to be. I dont think he makes a lot of
decisions sometimes. Sometimes it seems like he really isnt
in control and he is just a spokesperson from some elite
group we know nothing about.

yes, you have to wait 1 hour in the office first. that's a
waste of time if you're a selfish cunt. it's a shame there
is such a long queue btw. can't they request all the schools
as voting offices?

you HAD TO vote for the one that was more likely to win
apart from bush, not for the one you like best. the opponent
is BUSH it's not like it's a normal conservative
politician.

and we know about those pulling the strings. those are enron
and halliburton. you already forgot about the war in iraq???

Yes i wasnt aware that people in iraq are dying 24/7 and we
will never contain the situation.

For the record my buddy is being deployed to Takrit.

Moving along i dont like our options. When it comes down to
it people just vote kerry because they dont like bush. Not
all people but alot. The options are shiesty. I Dont like
that idea. Just me i guess.

Well now bush thinks that he is actually doing a great
job...

I believe that in front of such a terrible mandate
non-repubblicans should have atleast punished the current
president...

The results of today equate to a pat on the back and two
thumbs up...

Not really, that sentence was poorly constructed. It came
across as more or less, vague. If you would have taken a bit
more time in typing it, it would have been easier to
understand and build a discussion upon.

No, i know i should have voted. I was real 50/50 about it up
until yesterday. So to go over this once more, i didnt mind
that bush would win. I didnt want Kerry and i made a
decision that Kerry wasnt winning anyways.

I had things to do so i decided not to take the time out of
my day to vote. In the end i was correct in my decision and
kerry didnt win. I figured it would be close but i was right
and i really dont mind bush, although i am sure there are a
number of people out there that could do a better job.

Please explain to me what i dont get. Also how can you judge
someone with understanding their mindset? You know very
little about me from the posts i make. I dont think its
right nor fair to pass judgement like that.

you don't get the importance of voting. you don't get that
democracy is to be defended all the time, and by not voting
you are making it weaker. you don't get that one shall not
vote for the one he likes best. you don't get that bush is
doing the baddest job a president could do, which is serving
the corporates/richest/weakening (again) the democracy AND
the republic.

for that last paragraph, it rather refers to that other
thread (olives) in which i posted maybe too quickly assuming
things i probably shouldn't have. i apologize for this.

Ok, I didnt like our options. I would have seriously voted
dean. When dean was no longer an option i didnt believe in
voting for Kerry just to get bush out. That is weak IMO.

I didnt vote because after dean was removed from the
equation i no longer gave a shit. I dont think just removing
bush from office and sticking anyone in there will solve
anything.

the lesser of two evils! there is no reason not to vote for
the lesser of two evils (kerry beeing only bad, btw, not
evil). how's that weak? it's just reasonable.

this messageboard makes me sad, because it seems like every
country but the US has a kind of open diversity that we've
always valued in America. it's like everywhere they're more
American than in America...more opportunities, more
tolerant, etc etc etc...
